Encouraging Words

WOW sorry it has been a whole month since my last post!!  Time flies!!  I have been reading "7 Secrets To Spiritual Success by Wood Kroll".  The chapter I am reading Is called Check For Vital Signs, and I thought I would share this with everyone...  These are called The 1 John Twenty.  Hope everyone enjoy's it.

1.) "You walk in God's light"  (1 John 1:6)

2.)"You have fellowship with God's family"  This doesn't mean you become intimate friends with every Christian you know, but it does mean you feel enriched by time spent with spiritual family members. (1 John 1:7)

3.) "You have a keen sense of your own sinfulness"  Because Christians have a relationship with a holy God, we know just how far we are from perfection.  (1 John 1:8,10

4.)  "You live in willfull obedience to God's Word" (1 John 2:3, 5)

5.)  "You no longer are enamored with what captivates the world"  (1 John 2:15)

6.)  "You do thing's that are right in God's eyes"  (1 John 2:29)

7.)  "You eagerly anticipate the return of the Lord"  (1 John 3:2)

8.)  "You desire to live a life of purity" (1 John 3:3)

9.)  "You have a growing freedom from sinful behavior"  (1 John 3:6-10; 5:18)

10.)  "You have a genuine love for other believers (1 John 3:14; 4:7)

11.)  "You demonstrate your love in word and deed"  (1 John 3:18-19)

12.)  "You have the witness of your conscience"  (1 John 3:21-22)

13.)  "You have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit (1 John 3:24; 4:13)

14.) "You have the ability to distinguish truth from error''  (1 John 4:6)

15.)  ''You confess that Jesus is God the Son"  (1 John 4:15)

16.)  "You believe that Jesus is the Christ"  (1 John 2:22-23; 5:1)

17.)  "You exhibit overcoming faith"  (1 John 5:4-5)

18.)  "You believe the promise of God"  (1 John 5:9-10, 12)

19.)  "You trust the purpose of God's Word"  (1 John 5:13)

20.)  "You have an understanding from the Son of God"  (1 John 5:20)
