The country has changed so much since our founding fathers, well “found” this country. It is moving closer toward destruction more and more each year. If you mention Jesus Christ in some places on this earth you are likely to get put in jail or persecuted. Philippians 1:21 says; “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain”. Just think about it, if the people that lived hundreds of years ago were able to come to this day & time, they would be speechless. One example is how people dress now and how people dressed back then, another example is that people are disrespecting our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a big jump, and it didn’t just happen like “that”. It happened over time. Just by different leaders God has chosen to put in certain places. God has put those certain people in leadership to do what He wants; God is in control, with everything we do. Even if we don’t like & don’t agree what they believe, we still have to respect, there authority. Sin is everywhere, we cannot escape it, like it says in 2 Tim 3:1-5 “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. “
It is not even safe to walk down the road and just “look around”, because everyone is wearing tight clothing, and for gentlemen, they are wearing too big of clothes “baggy pants”, and short shorts. I don’t even wear shorts, not because my parents told me not to, but because it exposes skin that shouldn’t be exposed. But we can do our best to protect ourselves of it by putting on the whole armor of God like it says in Ephesians 6, “Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”
We need to be ready to put on our shield of faith like it says here in this passage. People in general have changed boys hanging out with those that they shouldn’t and the same with girls. Everybody and there dog, either has an iPhone, IPod, or phones, with earplugs in their ears, even kids and teenagers. With music so loud you can hear it if you are 5 feet away from them, if they are not doing that they are probably texting. I think a lot of that comes from wanting attention; their parents aren’t giving it to them, because they are out doing their own thing and not spending the needed time with their children and their spouse. I am 14 years old & I don’t have a phone, or an IPod, to tell you the truth I don’t even want one, I don’t need one because I never leave their sight. We also don’t have TV service because it is too expensive and most important, there is too much bad stuff out there on the TV, and I don’t want one either. Back then in the day, they didn’t have “TV’s”, but now everywhere you look there is TV with worldly stuff on it. Like the Bible tells us in, Rom 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” This generation of kids, don’t even want to spend time with their own grandparents or parents, because they think they are to “old”. Which is not true. It is good for children to spend time with the elderly. I think the word elderly is misused by a lot of people, if you look up “elderly” in the dictionary, part of the answer you will get is, “being past middle age”. Which means your parent as well? People don’t care about the old stuff they want “new” stuff, which is junk. A lot of times older is better. We are going to suffer by those “foolish” people in this world, that is part of being a Christian. I like this quote from Charles Spurgeon, Beware of no man more than of yourself; we carry our worst enemies within us. So we have to be a strong generation, and fight for those things we love and those who we love, we just can't sit there and watch them take it away, we have to defend ourselves. If it is of God He will help us through the battle.
So please if haven’t turned from your wicked and foolish ways. Please do so now...
